        A gift to Yakima from Adelbert & Rose Larson, The Larson Gallery opened in September 1949 on the grounds of Yakima Valley Junior College.  John D. Maloney, the architect for the Art Deco Larson Building in downtown Yakima was employed to design the gallery.  Natural light floods the gallery creating an pleasing, enjoyable, unique environment.
        
        The largest and oldest continually operated non-commercial gallery in the Central Washington area the Larson Gallery's structure is comprised a partnership formed between the Larson Gallery, the Larson Gallery Guild and Yakima Valley Community College.
        
        From the finest local, regional and national artists, pieces are exhibited throughout the year including such events as the annual Central Washington Artists' Exhibition, the annual National Juried Photo Exhibit and the biennial Art to Wear exhibit.
